My practice consists of working with adults and children who have been exposed to a recent stressor or traumatic event, struggle with depression or anxiety, or have difficulties in their relationships with others or themselves. I have received my master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology and have eight years of experience working with adults, children, and families. Being a certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I often use components of this technique when working with clients who are dealing with traumatic experiences or stress-related issues.
Using an insight-oriented approach. My goal is to help you understand how past unresolved conflicts might be influencing you in the present; replicating unwanted patterns in your current relationships. I often use our therapeutic relationship as a tool to target ways in which you relate to others and to yourself. With a calm, kind, and non-judgmental style, I gently challenge you to take a look at what might be holding you back from reaching your goals, while providing support and tools to help get there.
In addition to my work with adult clients, I am passionate about and specialize in child psychotherapy. I have many years of training and experience working with children and their families. I utilize play therapy techniques to provide children with a safe place to express their thoughts and feelings. Working closely with parents and caregivers, I intend for the skills children practice during our sessions to be transferred to the school and home settings.
I am happy to support you or your child during this process. Please call me at (323) 248-1140 to set up an appointment.
